Nizoral is an anti fungal shampoo which is used for treating dandruff. It is also helpful in treating androgenetic alopecia which a pattern for male baldness. Nizoral products have Ketoconazole which is an anti – androgen.
Androgen is a hormone which binds to the receptors in the hair follicles which in turn leads to the shrinking of these follicles. So, Nizoral Products have anti androgen which prevents the shrinking of these follicles to prevent this hair loss.

Nizoral shampoo A-D shampoo contains 1% of the Ketoconazole. The studies have proved that thickness of the hairs increases gradually with the regular use of this shampoo. The number of hairs which are shed daily also reduces, it because not all the hairs which are present on your scalp grow at once. Some of the hair follicles are in dormant stage while the others are actively pushing out the hairs.
The follicle which is in dormant phase will come into the anagen phase after bout six weeks where the growing hair will fall and a new one will start coming out. The shampoo of Nizoral does the same thing it increases the number of the follicles in Anagen stage and thus increases the thickness of the hairs and reducing the number of the hair falls too.
Although, it is not guaranteed that you will have less hair fall and thickening of yours hair after you have started using Nizoral shampoo. But it is sure that your dandruff content will surely be controlled as the manufactures are meeting with the standards of FDA while manufacturing this shampoo.
