Causes

Hair loss can be differentiated, in many condition of our scalp condition. Thinning of hair, hair detritus which is there is no hair growth anymore leading to partial or full baldness.

Some of the major causes of hair loss:

  • Heredity: In many cases, it is found that hair loss is inherited, which means it’s passed down from one or both of your parents. This can be referred as male-pattern or female-pattern hair loss.
  • Malnutrition: Deficiency of balanced diet rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients  can considered to be one of the major cause of hair loss and baldness.
  • Stress: One of the major reasons for hair fall is taking lot of stress. This can be of any kind such as physical stress from surgery, illness, or high fever.

 

Medical conditions
A variety of medical conditions can cause hair loss, including:

  • Thyroid problems: The thyroid gland helps regulate hormone levels in your body. If its not functioning properly it may result in hair loss.
  • Scalp infections: There are variety of Infections, such as ringworm, can infect  the hair and skin of your scalp, later leading to hair loss.
  • Fever and viral diseases: Poor health conditions such as high fever for a longer period and viral diseases are some of the conferring factors for the hair loss. Typhoid is one of the most prominent diseases to be the cause of hair loss for many patients affected by it.

 

Medications

Hair loss can also be caused by certain drugs and treatment:

  • Cancer
  • Depression
  • Arthritis
  • Heart problems
