Take vitamin E and biotin supplements. Both vitamin E and biotin help to maintain healthy and strong hair, thereby helping you prevent hair fall.

  • Include more fruits and green vegetables in your regular diet. Also, ensure that you drink plenty of water daily. This will help you remove toxins from your body and promote healthy hair growth.
  • Always opt for organic hair care products and avoid using too much of harsh chemicals on your hair. Harsh chemicals found in hair care products like shampoo and conditioner will simply weaken the hair shafts and follicles, thus leading to hair loss.
  • Good hair nutrition starts with getting enough protein, which is the building block of your hair. So increase your daily intake of protein and ensure that you get sufficient protein in your diet. This is probably one of the best ways to prevent thinning hair.
  • Increased levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) can also lead to hair loss in men. So, if you are experiencing sudden hair fall, consult your doctor and determine the root cause of it. If increased levels of DHT are the reason of your hair loss, doctors will give you certain medications to block the conversion of testosterone into DHT.
  • Women can also experience hair loss due to the side effect of certain medications like birth control pills. So, if you are using birth control pills and facing hair fall talk to your doctor for alternative medications.
  • Try massaging your scalp with olive oil on a regular basis. Olive oil helps to unblock hair follicles and promote healthy hair growth. Moreover, massaging your scalp will help you improve blood circulation and stimulate hair regrowth.
  • Saw palmetto treatment is another very effective way to treat hair loss or prevent hair fall. Saw palmetto can be found in either pills or oils. Massage your scalp with saw palmetto oil to stimulate healthy hair growth. Saw palmetto pills should be taken only under the guidance of a doctor.
  • Red bell pepper juice is also a great remedy for treating thinning hair. So, try massaging or rubbing the juice onto the scalp to increase blood circulation and stimulate hair growth.
  • Avoid using too much of heated styling products such as blow dryers, hair straighteners, curlers. Always allow your hair to dry naturally. Using too much of these heated items will damage and weaken your hair follicles and lead to hair loss.
  • Avoid combing your hair when it is wet because your hair is most sensitive when it’s wet. Moreover, avoid hairstyles that pull your hair or give lots of pressure to your hair as much as possible.
  • Wearing tight hairstyles such as ponytails and braiding can damage your hair. This is also one of the most important tips to prevent thinning hair, especially for women.
  • Get your hair trimmed after every two or three months in order to avoid split ends or hair breakages. This will also help you promote fast hair growth.
  • If all these tips don’t work out, try to keep your hair short. Short hair will make your hair appear fuller and thicker than long hair.
